Armed with his own naked self, a camera, and the eerie stillness of his world, the 21 year old French man, Ruben Brulat awakens the human connection to the natural world. Not once do you find yourself asking the obvious, isnt it cold to be out there naked amongst the black ice or how do you avoid onlookers or the cops?
Immediately you feel sympathy for the natural environments as is the case with Primates, his series on dramatic and hostile landscapes.
Brulat describes his Series of Urban Landscapes, “Immaculate” as a nightly no mans land.
“What shocked me with Immaculate was that this neighborhood lived just for a system, and when at night the system stops, when there is no need to activate it, it simply dies, a system created by Humans, sustained by Humans leave absolutely no love, no happiness, no sadness. No place to any kind of living.
I am fascinated by places where the beauty of Human beings has gone.”
